Oh, OneRepublic, how I adore the music you make. They're such a good band and have been since the begining. I feel like a lot of bands nowadays change the way their music sounds (examples being Maroon 5 & Arctic Monkeys), but OneRepublic still sound true to themselves. It obviously won't sound the same that the "old" music, but it still sounds like the band. I can't get enough of their album Native... maybe that's the hipster in me, who knows. For some reason the cover of their album reminds me of Warpaint's album cover of Warpaint.
Anyway, here's my current song obsession with OneRepublic.
Has it really been that long since I last posted a blog entry? December 2014? Oh boy has a lot happened since. I guess the biggest thing is that me and Mike got a french bulldog puppy called Django on Feburary the 18th. Best day ever and best little shithead ever ♥
Django on the day we picked him up from the breeder. 8 weeks old ♥
He's brought us so much joy and fun, he's now 8 months old and is going through his teenage phase where he's stopped listening to us and all of a sudden doesn't "remember" his commands. We're being patient though and he's not too, too bad! :)
So I know it's been way too long since I've written in this blog, and I apologise for that. I will try to better myself now that I'm on Christmas "holidays" (it's not really a holiday, just that I don't have any lectures to go to). A lot of things has happened in my life, but I shan't update with you with that right now.
I just wanted to say that I'm back and I will start to post more hopefully. :)
I can honestly not wait until I go to Switzerland on Thursday. Holyfrick, do I need this. I'm so tired of everything. I just can't wait to disconnect from reality for a while and just keep myself busy and happy with new experiences. Not only am I excited to see a whole new country, but I'm so excited to see my eldest sister again. It's always so much fun being with her and I really treasure the time I get to spend with her since it's not every day that I see her.
I'll obviously not blog a lot (if anything at all) while I'm away. But I'll be back the 15th of July, so we'll see then! :)
Now here you go again You say you want your freedom Well who am I to keep you down It's only right that you should Play the way you feel it But listen carefully to the sound
Of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had And what you lost And what you had And what you lost
Thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say women they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know
Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions I keep my visions to myself It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams and Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Dreams of loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering what you had And what you lost And what you had And what you lost
Thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Women they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know Thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say women they will come and they will go
Been having the biggest Fleetwood Mac day ever today. Can't stop listening to them. As for now I'm listening to Never Going Back Again and I'm just imagining myself in a meadow, dancing around to the song while being completely alone in the world, and just enjoying the nature and birds. Ahhh, that would be such complete bliss. Maybe one day I can make it happen. Just have to get a hand stereo and a meadow that's far, far, far away from civilization. I'm pretty sure I can find a place like that someday.
Anyway, I thought I'd share Rhiannon with you guys, it's one of the songs I've been having on repeat today, hehe. Enjoy!
Finished watching all three seasons of American Horror Story today. That went by too fast in my opinion! But omfg were they all really good. My favourite one was probably season 2 though, The Asylum. But I have a feeling season 4, The Freak Show, will beat that. Holymoly does season 4 have potential to scare the shit out of me, lol. I'm so excited for it though! They are all so good and creepy. I couldn't even listen to the intro song when I was watching the asylum. it scared me far too much, haha.
So now that I have finished season 3, I started to read on wikipedia about different things that were actually true. For example, Delphine LaLaurie, who is a character in the show that actually existed in real life. That's one thing that I really enjoy about American Horror Story, it's that some parts of it are based on true stories so it's quite educational in a way.
Anyway, besides watching AHS, I haven't done much at all. I really want to start reading books again, I've just been so freakin' lazy! But tonight I am feeling in the mood for some book reading, so I will most likely read tonight while listening to Rumours.
Leaving for England tomorrow bishes! But I leave at 5AM, so early. I'm trying to think of how or if I will even sleep tonight or just pull an all nighter. Besides, I have to wash my clothes from 6PM to 9PM so I can't start packing until then. So meanwhile, I am watching American Horror Story. I can tell you guys that I am quite pleased by it, it's not so scary yet but it's very interesting.
Ooh, I'm standing in the corner Thinking all I want to What am I to do? Should I go home still sober Should I buy me another glass of wine And forget about time
Though my jeans are too tight Don't feel like dancing And all this light is too bright Don't feel like shining Though this room is too small I'd rather stand against the wall And hope that no one sees me-e-e-e-e
When everybody's dancing (I don't want to) When everybody's joking (I don't want to) When everybody's laughing (I don't want to) Everybody but me
When everybody's drinking (I don't want to) When everybody's smoking (I don't need one) When everybody's rolling (I don't want to) Everybody but me, yeah
I get the creeps from all the people in here I cannot breathe, it's too crowded in here Don't look at me I don't wanna be seen; touched; heard; bothered by the fellas who got a look in their eye They wanna take me home without knowing my name They wanna put me on But do they not know is that I'm not like the others
When everybody's dancing (I don't want to) When everybody's joking (I don't want to) When everybody's laughing (I don't want to) Everybody but me
When everybody's drinking (I don't want to) When everybody's smoking (I don't need one) When everybody's rolling (I don't want to) Everybody but me
When everybody's dancing (I don't want to) When everybody's joking (I don't want to) When everybody's laughing (I don't want to) Everybody but me
When everybody's drinking (I don't want to) When everybody's smoking (I don't need one) When everybody's rolling (I don't want to) Everybody but me
When everybody's dancing (I don't want to) When everybody's joking (I don't want to) When everybody's laughing (I don't need more) Everybody but me
When everybody's drinking (I don't want to) When everybody's smoking (I don't need one) When everybody's rolling (I don't want to) Everybody but me, yeah
Yes, this is exactly what you think it is. An entry about Ed Sheeran's song for The Fault in Our Stars, and the book itself (haven't seen the movie yet but more on that to come).
So The Fault in Our Stars was as we all know, a book to begin with. A great book written by author John Green *bows down*. I read this book ages ago, it was probably around almost a year ago? Anyway, when I first read it I cried like a puppy who has been left alone at home for hours. Not many books make me feel so emotionally trapped that tears actually start to fall down my cheek uncontrollably (no joke, lol). It just had a huge impact on me and it was so beautifully written. Makes me want to read it all over again (which I probably will).
And as most of you know (unless you live under a rock) they turned the book into a motion film and if John Green approves, I know it'll be a great one that capture the essence of the characters and story in the book. Ed Sheeran was one of the artists that wrote a song for the film (Lykke Li did one too, and I'll post the song below at the end of this entry), but the song is so good and it makes me feel all giddy about the film. No One Ever Loves (the song by Lykke Li) is so beautiful and it makes me realise how much I will actually cry watching this film.
Ah, prepare the tears girl. Prepare the tears.
PS. The film has it's release here in Sweden the 22nd of June so I haven't been able to watch it yet.
So today my eldest sister came to Sweden! I've missed her so much and haven't seen her since New Years (She did come in Feb but I only saw her for a few hours cause after I had to fly to England), and I am so happy that she's here cause we always have so much fun and spend some really good quality time together. Just makes me really happy and forget about all the bad things in life.
She came as a surprise for my brother's graduation dinner. He was really surprised despite the small and few slip ups we all made, lol.
We went to this nice Asian restaurant called Rosegarden Neo Asian and it was my first time being there. I was a little disappointed because the bufé didn't have a lot of vegetarian options (so many meat and chicken ones though), HOWEVER, they did have the most amazing friend potatoes ever, like omfg did I die. And not to mention the desert! Fried bananas with soft ice cream... it's the best two things in the world and I officially died after that, lol.
Here's a picture of the food I had (as I said, not really a lot of veggie options unfortunally) Pasta salad, rice with curry, zucchini, mushrooms and potatoes.
